Safranbolu is one of the favourite touristy towns of our country in terms of tourism with its historical values, great architecture, urban culture, lifestyle, traditions and customs, local flavors and natural beauties. Authentic Example of the Tradition: Safranbolu, which is located in the Black Sea region of Turkey, has a known history that dates back to 3000 BC. It is a unique Anatolian town that brings history to life through its mosques, markets, neighbourhoods, streets and historic houses. This is a place to come not just to explore the wonderful old wooden houses of a bygone age but also to stay in them and play at being Ottoman for a day. Safranbolu is a typical Ottoman town that has survived to the present day. It also displays an interesting interaction between the topography and the historic settlement. Safranbolu's current layout and features were established in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is one of the few important towns that remained intact and developed in accordance with the Turkish town structure over time. The touristy town is also famous for its Cavus grapes, which are unique to the area.
Safranbolu Houses
The Safranbolu houses represent the city culture in an original way. The most remarkable aspects of those houses stem from their harmony with nature and their feature designed to protect the nature. There are 2000 traditional Safranbolu houses, which are the best examples of the traditional Turkish housing architecture. The houses with modest floor plans, customs and traditions, are a unique spatial account of Turkish lifestyle and culture based on respect for the nature and neighbours. UNESCO World Heritage
Safranbolu, known for its uniquely preserved traditional Ottoman Turkish architecture, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994 on cultural criteria. City of Safranbolu is represented as three parts in the world heritage list; Cukur, Kirankoy and Baglar.

Havuzlu Asmazlar Konağı
Konak, which has a very large area with the pool hall that gave its name to the building, traditionally furnished rooms, cool sofas and a green garden, reflects the traditional Ottoman style in Anatolia.
